The Morning Movement with Taryn & Stroke

HEY FRIENDS! I’M TARYN! One of your weekday voices on 99Rock’s Morning Movement! I’m originally from Chespeake, Virginia. I went to college at Troy University in Troy, Alabama where I received a bachelors in Broadcast Journalism, or as I like to call it, “a degree in talking”

When I’m not busy working, I’m busy trying to give my dogs their best life! Every member of my pack is a rescue. Pack members include my yorkie named Dobby, a chocolate lab mix named Margaret Coconut aka Maggie aka Marg, and a tornado of energy and chaos named Sampson (a DNA test on him showed that he has about 18 different breeds).

When the dogs let me off my leash to do what I want, you can find me at the beach, at a brewery sippin’ an IPA, paddle boarding, if not running in a race – then training for one. I’m a big fan of donating blood and platelets to help people with cancer & I try to encourage others to do the same thing. I help out one of our local rescues, Road Dogg Rescue every month & I’m also a proud partner in hope with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, because helping dogs and kids, AM I RIGHT!?

Two things that I think are very important are learning new things every day and treating people how you would want to be treated. Both things are free to do and make you feel good doing them!
